Hackers Breach French Tax Agency, Exposing Data of Up to 700,000 Taxpayers

The French Finance Ministry confirmed that a cyberattack on its public finance agency (DGFiP) resulted in the theft of personal and professional taxpayer data. The late-June breach came to light after a hacker claimed responsibility. An investigation is underway, with cyber-tracking platforms reporting that nearly 700,000 taxpayers may be affected.
